Immerse yourself in the beauty and spirit of the Sonoma Coast — a place where wild tides, rugged cliffs, and coastal light remind us what we stand to protect. This gallery brings together powerful photographs, timeless environmental quotes, and heartfelt calls to action. Each image tells a story of resilience; each word, a reminder that our coastline’s future depends on the choices we make today.
Scroll, pause, and reflect. Let these voices — from nature, from history, from our community — inspire you to defend what cannot defend itself: our air, our water, and the fragile ecosystems that make this coast a living treasure.
“We don’t inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”
— David Brower, the first Executive Director of Sierra Club.

“Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
The promise of a new dawn depends on the choices we make today. County of Sonoma is quietly approving high-heat waste incinerators on our coast, and we’re working to stop them.

“One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.”
— William Shakespeare
Standing among the wild daisies, watching the ocean breathe, we remember what binds us all — the shared pulse of this living coast. Every bloom and breaking wave reminds us what’s at stake.
Let’s keep it that way. Please take a moment to sign and share the petition to protect our coast from toxic incinerator toilets and reckless permitting
Every evening, the ocean reminds us what we’re fighting for. Clean air, clear water, and a coastline unspoiled by toxic pollutants. Protect what’s sacred.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
— Margaret Mead

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”
— Albert Einstein

“When I see nature, I see art.”
— Vincent van Gogh
Let’s protect this masterpiece. Please sign the petition to keep the Sonoma Coast wild and unspoiled.
“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
Our coast gives us moments like this — wild, free, and untamed. Let’s make sure it stays that way.

“Many men go fishing all their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.”
— Henry David Thoreau
We go to the ocean to remember who we are — small, patient, and connected to something greater. These shores are more than scenery; they’re a living part of our community’s soul. Let’s keep them that way.
“What is the use of a house if you haven’t got a tolerable planet to put it on?”
— Henry David Thoreau
Our coastline is not a dumping ground for combustion experiments. Let’s protect the air, water, and wild beauty that make Sonoma County home. Add your voice — every signature helps us demand accountability and real environmental oversight.

“It is horrifying that we have to fight our own government to save the environment.”
— Ansel Adams
For too long, County of Sonoma officials, including Supervisor Lynda Hopkins, have turned a blind eye to the growing threat of forever chemicals, toxic emissions, and waste-incinerating devices being quietly approved along our coast.

We are not the opposition, we are residents fighting to protect our air, water, and coastline for future generations. We urge Supervisor Hopkins to explain why these approvals are being allowed despite the known risks of releasing forever chemicals into our environment.

Sonoma County should be helping to protect the environment, not fighting the people who are trying to save it.
“The sun shines not on us but in us.”
— John Muir
This land doesn’t just surround us — it’s part of who we are. Let’s defend it with the care it deserves.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.”
— Jane Goodall
That’s why we must work to reduce our impact, not increase it. We cannot allow these incineratos that emit a toxic cocktail of chemicals, including dioxins, heavy metals, and forever chemicals, to be permitted along our fragile Sonoma Coast.
